‘24 – Senior Season
Assignment
The Houston Metro has long been under-utilized by city residents. This is for a myriad of reasons, the least of which being an uninspired brand.  The goal was to create a modern and vibrant identity that emphasized approachable, reliable service.
Approach
I utilized a bright color scheme that has historical ties to the city to develop a vibrant and approachable identity. The Logo’s immediate readability is extended to the motion present in the halftone pattern in the design language. Soft edges on custom icons and rail lines help standardize a consistent and inviting visual identity.
Results
The Metro’s redesign captures the excitement of travel and exploration while providing an accessible and approachable look for public transportation. The playful halftones and soft edges will attract young and old citizens alike, while the vibrant complimentary colors make the brand unmistakably Houstonian.
