Assignment
I made an extended publication project that explored my design process and appreciation for the unconvential graphic canvas of uniforms. My goal was to create an accessible publication about design that engages with both designers and casual sports fans, showcasing the types of knowledge and effort required to create visual representations of community.

Approach
I publication’s visual lanuage to communicate reverence for the work shown inside. The use of light gridlines, stark contrast, and black-and-white images give the publication a serious tone, while the spacing and design of each layout reinforces its sincerity. Infographics are laid out to help viewers digest text-heavy research portion. I wrote all of the copy in the book, explaining not only my process, but purpose for each creative choice.

Results
The level of conceptual fidelty is successfully given a formal aesthetic. The visual design of the publication delivers a sincere tone, while the infographics and eye candy talk to designers and non-designers alike. The copy tells the story of the visual while providing additional information, making the work both successful in written and visual form. I showcased both my ability to conceptualize and describe my work, which are vital skills to communicate with clients and a broader audience.
